Hi,
I've got a strange problem with my VPN setup, I have a number of PC's
configured with VPN's so they can dial into the main office from the
remote site and access the network.
A couple of the PC's do this fine and can browse the network, use
remote desktop etc, while another couple of PC's can connect but cant
get access to any shares or use remote desktop...
I have looked at the config and they all appear to be configured the
same.
My seup is as follows
Main Office
D-Link Firewall Router (There is a D-link at both sites and this
creates a hardware VPN)
SBS 2003 Server
Ext IP 192.168.1.33 - IP dialled to connect
Int IP 192.168.33.2
Clients are assigned an 192.168.33.* address.
Remote Office
D-Link Firewall Router
SBS 2003 Server
Ext IP 192.168.2.2
Int IP 192.168.34.2
Clients are assigned an 192.168.34.* address.
When a connect from the remote site I am assigned a PPP WAN address of
192.168.33.*, I an unable to connect to any servers or ping anything on
the .33.* subnet.
I have noticed that the PPP address I get assigned is in a subnet of
255.255.255.255, im pretty sure that at the main office the subnet is
255.255.255.0, surely this would cause some problems?
I cant remember where you need to go on the VPN server to change it
though.
Has anyone got any suggestions to what the problem could be?
Regards
Ian
