FYI (anyone looking for similar answeres)
I had tried applying some MS hotfix around this issue which did not work.
In the end, I tried uninstalling Windows Server 2003 sp1 and my VPN
connectivity was working as it always had (after two days messing with this,
all I can say is HOORAH!).
Does anyone have any ideas what changed in SP1 that could casue this?
