Error 718, users can't authenticate

I've had a VPN solution for my remote users for several years, first on a
SBS 4.5 server (NT4) and more recently on an upgraded SBS2003 (Premium) box.
Everything has been working beautifully until about a week ago. Now my
users can't get authenticated. I've checked the settings on the RRAS and
ISA2000 and such, but no dice. Clients are running XP Pro SP2 and have been
fully operational in that configuration.

Client machines can successfully ping the server's public ip address.
Clients can initiate the connection successfully but the process stalls at
the "verifying" stage and sometimes reports error 718 which indicates the
remote host can't authenticate the user's credentials. I've tried
rebuilding the VPN connection on the clients to no avail. Ideas?
Suggestions?

Thanx, ;-)

Lonny
