Hello,

I have a problem that seems to have come up out of
nowhere. I have a W2K network all with SP4. The problem I
am having is that all VPN connections can no longer
resolve DNS lookups. I have set everyone up to be able to
either log into their workstations (XP) after connecting
to the VPN by just typing in their name, the workstation
names are firstnamelastname.companyname.office. This use
to work and I don't know when it broke but now if I try
to look up firstnamelastname it fails as does looking up
firstnamelastname.companyname.office, but of course I can
lookup IP.
Does anyone have any suggestions.
Some people tell me that it would be best if I had "use
remote gateway" selected. I don't see the point since all
home users have highspeed connections and don't need to
use the office connection for internet purposes. But to
quit there arguments I have tried turning "use remote
gateway" on and that does not help, nor would I think
that it would since it has never been on. But
nonetheless, are there any other sugguests?

Thanks,
Richard
