do your ISA firewall and internal clilents use sane dns server ?
if yes allow the dns protocol thru the firewall to the internet
if no
make sure that your dns server used by clients allows external name resolution

Some of our internal users want to access their Gmail account using their.
outlook. I tried to do it but the connection fails every time. I tried to
ping Gmail server and it gave me the following:
Ping request could not find host Gmail.com. Please check the name and try
again.
The same thing happened when I tried to ping Yahoo or Hotmail servers. But,
when I ping them from ISA server (ISA 2004), they reply normally. I, also,
tried to ping them using their real IP which I get from pinging them from ISA
side. I do that from a VLAN that all protocols are allowed.
What is the configuration needed to allow internal users access their
outside mail using outlook?
