Setup with all public ip addresses
Preamble: first time using / setting up ISA Server 2006 , so be
gentle (I'm 22).
Intro:
I am part of the larger network where our entire IP Address is public
(we have control of an entire class X subnet). These are sub divided
into separate VLans assigned to different 'groups' in my organization.
I am involved in one of these groups and I am setting of a new FW for
this group.
The Question:
Can ISA Server Firewall 2006 STANDARD handle this kind of network (I
am going to obviously assume so). My question is how?...What 'feature'
or 'term' am I looking for? All I am trying to do is 'filter/protect'
directed to my subnet that would be routed to the FW.
I have seen terms such as LAT / LDT being used. What I be using a LAT
in my case? Does it matter that I 'intend' (not setup yet) to setup a
domain for these workstations (hence the need of a FW, the domain will
be on a public subnet)...
