Publishing SBS 2008 with ISA 2006

I am attemting to set up ISA 2006 and SBS 2008 in the following configuration.
ADSL MODEM/Router => ISA 2006 => SBS 2008. (Ports forwarded by router to
ISA). I can't seem to get the RWW, activsyn over http etc working in this
configuration. I also am unable to find any documentation supporting this
configuration. Is it possible to publish SBS 2008 supporting RWW, Activesync,
OWA etc using this configuration. If not, how do I connect to the internet.
Do I have to connect the ISA server to the internet by setting the ADSL
MODEM/Router in bridging mode and then setting up a PPOE/PPOA connection from
the ISA box?

.
