Register this connection's addresses in DNS (UNchecked) - is this
necessary? If there is no DNS on the external NIC, there's nothing to
register.
DNS tends to be global for the machine regaurdless of the Nic's specs it is
added into. I don't remember if leaving the DNS blank keeps that nic from
registering,..but just do the standard way of configuring as I described and
you won't have to worry about it.
Which setting should I use on either NIC?
- Disable NetBIOS over TCP/IP (or enable?)
- Client for for Microsoft Network (unchecked or checked)
- File and print sharing for Microsoft Network (unchecked or checked)
External:
Enable TCP/IP
Disable all others
Internal:
Enable all.
You might get by with only TCP/IP and C4MS Networks, but I'd just leave them
all enabled and not ask for problems.
