I looked at the log files but do not see anything that pertains to pop3
(110). I looked in all 3 types of log files. Now, it does not seem to be
real time as I tried to connect via pop3 but did not see an error. Are the
realtime logs somewhere else?
Also, I want to confirm I have pop3 configured correctly, is there a doc
available to explain how to config to allow outside users to access mail via
pop3 through an isa2k?

you can configure ISA2k log files types and also view them by :
servers and arrays \server name\monitoring and configuration\logs.

Our "external router" is a cable modem set to bridge mode so it should

open so they are not blocking anything.
Where does ISA write their log files.

check your external router to ascertain that pop3 will not be blocked
out
there.see isa log files and write us some filtering errors if ther are.

I have a SBS2000 box that I need to allow an outside client to get

it works internally. I am unable to connect externally via telnet. I
have
configured ISA to allow POP3
I have tried to custom configure an incoming IP Packet Filter and used
the
ICW to to allow incoming POP3. Neither allowed incoming POP3. I also
created a custom POP3 protocol rule to allow POP3. Still cannot
connect.
I
used the following paper from MS as a guide

Publishing POP and IMAP Services Using Microsoft ISA Server
