The $250 is cheap by industry standards. There is no time limit on
it,...once they are on the case they stay with it until it is fixed with no
addional charges. I have paid the $250 many times.
I can't help with Vista,..all of our business machines are XP of older.
It does have to be a Domain Member and probably should have the Windows
Firewall disabled.

Phillip, I hope you can help me. Here is my problem: I can sign into and
get into the VPN and do remote desktop, but I can't access any of the
files
on the VPN as I was able to on XP without doing RDC. With XP once I was
logged into the VPN, all the files showed in "my network places" and I
could
just click on the one I needed to access. I now cannot do that.
Microsoft
told me I needed to upgrade to Ultimate...that has made no difference.
They
are now telling me I need to pay $250 for "that level of support". I
don't
know why I wouldn't go back to XP, except for all the $ I've already spent
on
Ultimate!! Terrible service from such a large reputable company.

The workstation you are doing this from needs to be a Domain member or at

WINS is pretty much required. It should be in the config of the Dialup
Connectoid.
Netbios over TCP/IP probably should be enabled and allowed.
You may need to watch the ISA Monitoring log (Source Network = VPN
Clients)
and look for other things that are being denied and make a judgment as to
if
they should be allowed.
Typically what you want isn't worth doing. It is a hassle to get
working,..can be undependable even when it works,..and bogs down the Slow
Link (VPN) with a bunch of bandwidth eating traffic that was never
designed
to function over anything slower than a 10mbps full Ethernet connection.
Microsoft Network Browsing (the over all name of what you are wanting) is
a
LAN technology, not a WAN technology.
