Re: ISA with WSUS

Communicating with the ISA is separate from communicating through the ISA.

And,...Both of those are separate from the ISA itself communicating with
anything.

You are dealing with three different concepts there.

1. Through ISA = Internal to External
2. To ISA = Internal to LocalHost,... and Localhost to Internal for
bi-directional
3. ISA to Internet = LocalHost to External

To clarify #2,...I usually do this for bi-directional between the ISA itself and
the LAN:
To: Internal, LocalHost
From: Internal, LocalHost

Hi Tarek,

I've done that but it still isn't working. I don't understand how it can
work - you enable communications from Local Host (ISA) to WSUS using that
URL, but how does that allow the WSUS server to communicate to ISA?

Thanks!

Hi there,

I've tried those two different options, but neither of them worked. Is
there
something else I missed?

Thanks!

Hi there,
I am using WSUS on our network but it is not working on the ISA server.
What
port/protocol needs to be open for the updates to be available on ISA?

Thanks,
Steve.
