Re: 1 specific page loading slowly then not showing at all

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Hi Ray,

I´ll give that a try in a few hours and let you know tomorrow how it goes.
Thanks again.

This stuff is not all that unusual. You could set the URL as a "Direct
Access" site and see what happens. That will cause it to bypass the web
proxy service.

IE 6, but I think they tried with 7. I feel sure it is the ISA as they
have
tried with various users and computers.

Can't say. It works for me behind ISA. Are you using IE 7?

Thanks for your answer Ray.

I have tried using my laptop in the office (from behind an ISA....will
not
work) and then at home with the same computer, but without the ISA and
it
works, so is it still a possiblity that the problem is the applet?

It loads slowly for me, but it does load each time and in fact,
subsequent
loads are a bit faster. ISA 2004 SP2 with hotfixes & just the web
proxy.

However it is trying to run a self-signed Java applet and I won't let
it
do
that (I'm using IE 7).

I suspect the problem might be the size of the applet they're
downloading
or
the fact that it is self-signed.

Hi there,

I have a curious problem which presents itself on any client behind
an
ISA
Server 2004 computer. One page in particular will load properly on
the
first
attempt, but if you try to access the page again, it will not load
and
presents an error message, which does not appear to be from the ISA
computer.
However, if you clear the IE cache, cookies and temporary files it
will
load
properly again....but only once. I strongly suspect there is a
configuration
issue on the ISA, as I have tried the page again from my house
without
any
other perimeter protection and it works just fine.

It is an ISA server 2004 computer, and has the most recent service
pack.
The
clients are a mixture of web proxy and firewall clients, and I have
repeated
the test from my own office and that of our client from where the
problem
has
arisen.

here is the address of the web page in question:

http://idse.imss.gob.mx/certificacion

Once in this page, we have to access the link where it says
"certificado
digital" on the left hand side. It is this page in particular which
has
not
been displaying correctly, or loads very very slowly and you can´t
get
in.

I´d appreciate any help anyone can give as to a similar problem or
possible
resolutions.
