We have ISA 2006 Installed and I am looking at the properties of our Internal
Network. In the properties box I have a Web Browser tab that I can set certain
IP addresses or domains that the browser will directly access. I currently
have each of our subnet ranges in the "Directly access these servers or
domains:" box. My question is, when I use the ISA firewall client and have the
"Enable Web browser automatic configuration" checked should the ranges I enter
on the server appear in the Exceptions section of the Proxy Settings within IE
itself?
The reason I ask is because they are not showing for me but I'm not sure if
this is expected behavior.
As a side note I have WPAD setup in DHCP and it is pointing to our ISA box and
the "Enable Firewall client support for this network" option is checked off in
ISA. Also, the "Automatically detect settings" option is set in the Web
browser configuration on the Firewall client computer section of the Firewall
Client tab of our Internal Network Properties.
Ultimately though, the big question is that if those ranges don't show up as
exceptions in IE then will the still be honored when browsing?
Any insight is appreciated.
Thanks!
Brian
