I set up a daily report, and a weekly report. It always has the same thing
for Summary Cache Performance. "information not available". I am testing a
new ISA box that will have two nics and be an interior firewall. The Summary
Cache performance for its report is broken into several categories.
How do I post an image??

"Information not available" for what part of which report?.
Is this report based on recent data or the same reports as before?
Some data in parts of the reports will say "no data" because the data for that category may not be present in the logs.

Jim,
Error is gone but cache is not working according to report generated by ISA.
Still shows the "Information not available" in pie chart. I can send screen
shot or report if you like. Thanks

Try this in a command window:
1. net stop fwsrv
2. del <path\to\cachefile>
3. net start fwsrv
...do you still get the error?

Forgot to mention, this message in alert logs after restart from ISA SP2
"Disk cache D:\urlcache\Dir1.cdat failed to initialize. Some errors were
encountered when ISA Server restored specific data cache files. ISA Server
will now attempt to recover these files. These errors may have occurred
because there was not enough time to complete all necessary shutdown
operations, when ISA Server was previously shut down. To avoid this in
future, you can increase the value of the
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\WaitToKillServiceTimeout
registry key. Identify the reason for cache failure by examining previous
recorded events, or the error code. Check that the disk is connected and that
it is not corrupt. (Internal code: 503.7168.4.0.2165.594)
The failure is due to error: Invalid or unknown table specified."

ISA setup in single NIC mode on W2K server, SP2 applied on ISA, defined cache
drives, and weekly report for cache use always says "Information not
available". I have tried resetting permissions on root of drive, anything
else that has been written. I even bought Shinders book. I can use cache
Dir tool to browse through cache and all the sites are there. I just don't
think ISA is using cache. Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
