As you note ISA Server logs only IP addresses for unauthenticated clients.
This issue is discussed briefly in the Troubleshooting Logging paper,
located here
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/isa/2004/plan/tb_logging.mspx#IPAddressesAreLogged,NotUserNames .
Are you saying that ISA Server is logging only IP address, even for requests
that are allowed, presumably to authenticated clients?

Hi all,
I'm having a small problem understanding what's going on with my ISA
server
reports.
Our ISA 2004 server is set up to allow web access onlyto authenticated
firewall & web proxy clients. I have checked the logs and any requests
from
unathenticated clients are denied.
However, when I generate a report I only ever see IP addresses and not
client usernames.
Can anyone help?
.
