Hi,
After installing Windows 2003 SP1 on two seperate ISA 2000 servers, I got
the following problems:
On one server, Microsoft Firewall failed to start with Event 11011:
Microsoft Firewall failed. The failure occurred during Initialization of
Network Address Translation (NAT) because the system call PNATInit failed.
Use the source location 308.1151.3.0.1200.365 to report the failure. The
error code in the Data area of the event properties indicates the cause of
the failure. This failure may be due to the Internet Connection Firewall
(ICF) service being enabled. If it is enabled, please disable the service
named "Internet Connection Firewall (ICF) / Internet Connection Sharing
(ICS)" (SharedAccess). Then, restart the computer. For more information about
this event, see ISA Server Help. The error description is: Access is denied.
After I uninstalled SP1, everything was fine.
On the other server:
Connecting to an internal Windows 2003 server published on the ISA using RDP
over the internet, I would briefly establish a connection and login. The
connection would then appear to be broken and eventually a dialogue box would
appear stating General Network Error, connection broken.
After I uninstalled SP1, I could once again establish RDP connections over
the web no problem.
Any ideas what is causing these problems.
Thanks,
Lorimerc.
