Hi. Have you considered altering your Symantec configuration slightly ? It
is possible and preferred using Symantec Enterprise to have your Server
download virus definitions and push them out to the clients. This improves
the time when your clients have older definitions, as well as cuts down
bandwith usage becuase your Server downloads once.

You can also configure your server Liveupdate to use a proxy server to
download the definitions from Symantec. There are number of options, if you
could provide more information on how you've configured your Symantec
software it would be able to advise you on what you could do. From what I
understand so far, both your server and you clients all download their
updates individually from Symantec ? What version of Symantec software are
you using ?
