So if you can connect via IP Address and FQDN (name.domain.com) and you
cannot connect via Host Name then it is more then likely due to WINS lookup
failure. Do you use WINS in your environment? If not then you may have
issues doing this. WINS is still used as a remote network name resolution
solution. So if you do have WINS you can enable WINS lookup on your DNS
Zones if they are Windows 2000 or Windows 2003 DNS Servers. This would
resolve this issue or you need to supply WINS entries tot he client.

If you do not have WINS then you may not be able to get this functionality
to work like you want it too.
