That was considered, but there are enough DoD connections in use that
aren't
discoverable as "network interfaces" to make this another failure state.
Better to document it and let the customer make informed decisions.

It's not supported for ISA 2000, 2004 or 2006.
PSS will politely rebuff you when (not if) you call with a problem
involving
anything other than web proxy functionality.

Maybe they should patch it so that those other things don't work at all
instead of just "kinda-sorta-once-in-a-while" working. Just leave the
Web
Proxy Service working. It would keep people from mis using it and becoming
their own worst enemy. It would seem like there should be a way to have
things just disable themselves if there is no internal-external nic
combination.

Of course it would suit me fine if the whole "one-nic proxy" option was
totally eliminated to begin with :-)
