Re: Please don't shoot me but......

Hi Jim

Sorry for not getting back, I have been unavailable for sometime :(

What I need to acheive is:

1. Macs authenticate to Active Directory. Acheived

2. Mac users to hit the same access rule as Windows users that only allow
authenticated traffic to pass, but for it to be transparent as it is for the
Windows users.

We have played with our internal web servers and have acheived transparent
auth using Kerberos, but it appears to be a problem when the Macs hit the
ISA's. Wouldn't a Mac firewall client acheive this?

Thanks in anticipation
Dave

HTTP traffic would be getting handled by the web proxy, which would prompt
an anonymous user *if* your rules required authentication.

Hi Jim

Location noted :)

The mac's are bound to the domain, but the logged on user doesn't in ISA
log's etc as there is no FWC installed.

:-p

Your "MAC FWC" request is noted.
You can post your wish list items to microsoft.public.isa.wishlist.
It sounds like you want the FWC to use domain credentials for anon-domain
machine?

Please don't shoot me but......

I can't find anywhere else to place this request and hopefully someone at
MS
might see this

As a feature request for the next version of ISA can we have a Firewall
Client for Apple Mac's that already authenticate to AD

Sorry for posting to the wrong place
