On those computers, if you go to this precise URL, do you get prompted to
download wpad.dat? http://wpad/wpad.dat

If not and they are on DHCP, you are not passing the default DNS domain via
DHCP.

If not and they are on static IP's, you need to change the computer name so
it is fully qualified with the DNS domain. Click the More... button on the
dialog box with the computer name ("primary DNS suffix").

hi,

I have an ISA server 2004 configured with one NIC, Webproxy discover is
enabled on port 80. and a wpad cname record is created on my DNS server.
users have the "automatically detect settings" checkbox on, most of the
users are able of detecting the settings but others don't though they have
the same settings.

what could be the problem.
