Sorry for the post in the ISA group, but the Proxy group is no longer
available...here is my story:

We have a native mode W2K domain. A windows 2000 server provides DHCP
services for our subnet. About 6 months ago we decomissioned our Proxy 2.0
server and the boxed was reused w/o wiping it completely out...it was kind of
an emergency thing. We needed a box that was running windows server NOW and
it was available. The proxy client had been removed from the workstations and
the Proxy services were disabled on the server. However, since then the
workstations continue to grab the proxy server settings (apparently) when
they renew their IP addresses. I've checked the DHCP settings and the 252
option is not there. There are no rogue DHCP servers on the net and the
router kills the DHCP traffic between subnets. Running NETMON and ethereal
for several days has also turned up nothing. The users have become used to
deleting these settings once a week or so, but I'd like to get it to stop
happening all together...thoughts???

thanks!

Mark
