Hi Everyone!
We use software products of Microsoft (windows2000
server, Exchange 2000 server, ISA 2000server...) for our
LAN. There's a proxy server with ISA 2000 server in the
LAN to control access to Internet. Some computers in LAN,
which often connect to Internet, have proxy settings in
Internet Explorer (IE \Tools\internet
option\connections\LAN settings\Proxy server address :
Internet; port : 8080.)
Recently we installed Microsoft Exchange Instant
Messaging Service for our LAN. Computers, which don't
have proxy setting in Internet Explorer can log in the
Instant Messaging service and normally exchange messages,
but those computers, which often connect to Internet and
have proxy setting in Internet Explorer, can't login the
Instant Messaging service. The error appears as
following : " Sock 5 proxy authentication failed. Check
the Sock5 setting for username and password on the
Connection Tab"
Please help me to fix the problem.
Thanks in advance
Hung.
