So Jim, if I can get the Nikotel application to function
through the H.323 gateway, will it work? I don't
understand the distinction, so please explain why my
Dialpad (also a VOIP application) works on Windows if I
just open the needed ports...
Think of my Macintosh client as just another IP-connected
device. I need to connect the external VOIP server to my
IP-connected Macintosh using server publishing rules,
which I've attempted. I'm missing something. Can you give
me a high-level overview of what those steps are? I need a
protocol definition to open the ports, that I know. What
else? A desination set? A server publishing rule? We're
close to the solution, but I could use that last extra
piece of data to make it work, and I'd appreciate your
assistance.
Thank you,
Toolie
