Jetzt hoffe ich doch sehr, nicht dne Überblick verloeren zu haben.

Also - wenn das eine SCSI-Paltte ist dann muss ein SCSI-Controller
existieren. Hängt die paltte da dran ist es sache dieses Controllers zu
booten - dsa Borad wird in dem Falle _übergangen_!

Weitehin habne diese bontroller ina ller Regel ein eigenes BIOS (das für
genu dies oben zuständig ist. eWelche tastenkombi biem Einscahlten
dieses auslöst weiß ich nicht weil ch mit SCSI so keine Kontakt habe.
Nichtsdetoweniger muss ein SCSI-Bus _terminiert_ sein. Neumodisches
Gerät scheint das automatisch hinzubekommen, je älter deso notwendige
rist es dies durch eine Jumper am Gerät oder ein Tatsächlichen
Abschlusswiderstnad erfolgen.
Ohne dieses Terminieren tut sich bei SCSI effektiv nichts…

Wenn das ältere BIOS CD-LWs nicht nominell erkennt sondern gar nicht
auflistet ist das völlig in Ordnung und normal. Ob die dann erkannt
werden oder nicht zeigt sich wenn der CD-Treiber unter DOS eine
entsprechende Meldung rausgibt.
Merke: solche CD-LW gelten logisch in Aller Regel (DOS, W9x) als
Netzlaufwerke (..! Deswegen kann man auch einen beliebigen freien
LW-Buchsataben nach C zuweisen) und obwohl an IDE angeschlossen nimmt
sie das BIOS nicht als Plattenalufwerk ("nicht entfernbar") wahr.
