Sorry für die englische Anfrage, dachte ich bin in der englischen Newsgroup
gelandet.
Bei meiner Frage geht es *nicht* um eine Lastverteilung oder ähnliches,
sondern um den Umstand, dass der Browser auf jeden Fall standardmässig
versucht, die PAC Datei herunterzuladen. Kann der Browser dies nicht, kommt
eine Fehlermeldung. Ich möchte aber statt der Fehlermeldung einfach weiterhin
arbeitsfähig "mit den alten Proxy-Einstellungen" sein.
Eigentlich müsste es also einen Registry-Eintrag oder ähnliches geben, wo
man dem Browser beibringen kann, dass er im Falle der "Nicht-Downloadbarkeit"
der PAC-Datei was anderes machen soll...

Helfen würde auch, wenn man mehr als einen Ort der Downloadmöglichkeit der
PAC Datei im Internet Explorer angeben kann. Geht das ?
