Cross Compiler (DOS) läuft nicht unter Windows XP

Der Tasking Compiler c166 nutzt DOS4GW und läuft nicht unter Windows XP auf
einem IBM Thinkpad. Returncode ist 127.
Autoexec.nt und Config.nt habe ich schon geprüft.
Eigenheiten des Systems: Bei Aufruf von command.com erscheint in den ersten
2 Zeilen des DOS Fensters:

Befehl oder Dateiname nicht gefunden
VDM-IPX/SPX-Unterstützung kann nicht geladen werden.

Bei Aufruf des Compilers über die Eingabeaufforderung gibt es beim ersten
Aufruf keine Reaktion, beim 2. Aufruf nur die Meldung loading 386 binary ...

Wer kann helfen? Tasking sagt, das sei ein lokales Problem des Rechners.-
