Kein Modem nach SP2-Installation

Hallo,

ich weiss nicht, ob ich hier topic bin. Hier mein Prob:
Hardware: Notebook Toshiba M30, XP Home Edition.
Nachdem SP2 installiert wurde, funktioniert das interne Modem "Toshiba
Software Modem
AMR" (Treiber Version: 3.1.116.0) leider nicht mehr. Bios ist auch aktuell.
Vermutlich liegt ein
Hardware-Konflikt vor, da auch der COM3-Anschluss nicht mehr im
Gerätemanager vorhanden ist. Beim Versuch eine DFÜ-Verbindung herzustellen,
erscheint die Fehlermeldung 633 (Das Modem ... wird bereits verwendet oder
ist falsch konfiguriert). Laut Gerätemanager liegen jedoch keine Konflikte
vor. auch ein Versuch einen anderen COM-Anschl. zu benutzen brachte keinen
Erfolg. Bei Toshiba riet man man mir, den Auslieferungszustand
wiederherzustellen und danach das SP2 zu installieren. Gibt es keine andere
Lösung???
