Modem-Einwahl nach Installation von WinXP SP2 gestört

Hallo,

Nach Installation von WinXP SP2 habe ich Probleme im Modembereich, und zwar
an zwei baugleichen Computern (Office+Home) mit internem LT V.92 Data+Fax
Modem an Com3.

1. Ich kann das Modem (das vom WinXP SP "herausgeschmissen"
wurde und auch nicht mehr automatisch erkannt wird) nur nach manueller
Installation und Eingriff in die Registry (ändern: Com2>Com3) überhaupt zum
Laufen bringen

2. Nun wählt es an, das Kreischgeräusch der diversen
angewählten Provider ist hörbar, es erscheint: "Benutzernamen und Kennwort
werden verifiziert "; dies gelingt aber offensichtlich nicht, obwohl der
Registry-Eintrag "EnablePlainTextPassword" vorhanden ist.

Am Modem liegt es nicht, da mein Fax-Programm (nicht von Microsoft) das
Modem erkennt und auch taddellos funktioniert. Da ich zuhause (nicht im
Office) vom Internetzugang über das Modem abhängig bin, mußte ich dort SP2
deinstallieren, dann war alles wieder ok!

What's wrong? Hängt das mit den neuen Sicherheitseinstellungen zusammen? Hat
jemand eine Idee?
