Das Ding ist unverständlich, das ist die Belegung IDE(0), wie vom OP
gesendet und wenn das nicht 2 Festplatten recht neuer Bauart vom gleichen
Hersteller sind, hat er Mist gepostet, ansonsten ist für mich absolut kein
vernünftiger Grund ersichtlich, warum die eine (Master) DMA läuft und die
Slave nur PIO.
Letztes Ideenblitzchenleinchen: Hat/kann er im BIOS statt "auto" irgendeinen
anderen Mist reingezwungen haben?

es ist genauso wie ich es geschrieben habe.
Primary Master: S.. 1614N
Slave: S.. 2514N

usw.

Beim Booten wird mir das auch noch einmal bestätigt.
Alle Einstellungen sind [Auto]

Sollte ich die Slaves einfach mal anders schalten?

welchen Patchlevel hast Du, also ist mindestens SP2 installiert?

Wenn ich mich noch richtig erinnere gab es bei dem Board auch mal ein
Problem im Bios. Schau mal, ob es nicht auch einen Update gibt.

Und was passiert, wenn Du Slave und Master mal testweise tauscht?
Achte aber auf die Jumperung.


über Everest bin ich auf die Support-Seite von Award gekommen und habe
mir den Bios-Agent runtergeladen. Die wollen für ein Upgrade 23 $ haben,
ist das normal?
