Windows Explorer startet nicht

Hallo

Habe hier einen Kunden-PC mit folgendem Problem:
- PC hatte einen Virus eingefangen. Diesen habe ich bereinigt mit Hilfe
eines andern PCs - Festplatte via USB - kompletter Scan mit Panda 2009 -
mehrmaliger Lauf, ist jetzt sauber.
- Festplatte wieder in Kunden PC, es wurden praktisch keine Treiber geladen,
Windows Explorer startet nicht.
- habe Windows via Windows CD Installation - Windows Reparieren (SR2)
ausgeführt. Treiner wurden wieder geladen, Explorer weiterhin nicht
ausführbar.
- habe SR3 ab meiner USB Service Festplatte installiert. Explorer weiterhin
nicht ausführbar.
- habe via MsConfig alles im Systemstart deaktiviert, alle Dienste ausser
Microsoft Dienste deaktiviert. Explorer weiterhin nicht ausführbar.
- habe alle nicht benötigte Software deinstallier, Google Symbolleiste,
Yahoo Symbolleiste, Adobe Reader, Photoshop, Zatoo..
Keine dieser Aktionen handhabt das Problem. Ich kann die Explorer.exe (mit
Hilfe des Internetexplorers) im Ordner Windows sehen, doch beim Doppelklick
erscheint die Meldung: "C:\Windows\explorer.exe konnte nicht gefunden werden.
Stellen Sie sicher dass sie den Namen korrekt......"

Ich kann mir jetzt nur noch vorstellen, dass entweder eine dll welche vom
Explorer gestartet werden sollte nicht vorhanden oder nicht richtig
registriert ist oder sonst ein Fehler in der Registry vorhanden ist.

Bin für jeden Hinweis dankbar - z.B. Liste der Reg. Einträge welche für den
Explorer benötigt sind.....
