100% CPU-Last durch Outlook und Internet Explorer

Hallo, ich habe folgendes Problem:

Wenn ich Internet Explorer starte, bracht er sofort 100% CPU-Last und
friert das komplette System ein.
Das selbe kommt ab un zu bei Outlook (nicht Express) vor. Hier ist es
nur manchmal, nun ist mir aufgefallen, dass es immer los geht, wenn ich
eine eMail mit Bildern drinnen bekomme (HTML EMails).

Auch andere Programme, die sehr wahrscheinlich die selben
Windowskomponenten benutzen (Trillian Messenge, Bietagent, ...) frieren
auch ein und lassen sich nicht mehr benutzen.

Ich habe Windows XP mit Service Pack. Weitere Updates kann ich leider
nicht machen, da ich wegen dem Internet Explorer nicht Windows Update
benutzen kann.

Hat einer von euch eine Idee, was das Problem sein könnte?

Der Prozess, der jeweils die CPU-Last Last verursacht, ich
unterschiedlich. Also outlook.exe, iexplore.exe, trillian.exe, ...

Ich bin am verzweifeln!
