Dann reagiert der Printserver nicht.

Bei uns geht das mit diversen AXIS-Geräten seit Jahren problemlos. Unter
Windows 2000 ebenso wie unter XP.

Welches AXIS-Modell hast du? Neueste Firmware drauf?

Früher haben wir AddPrinter 1.01 und AutoGo 1.22 benutzt, bis ich dann
über die Standard-TCP/IP-Ports "stolperte":

Das ist zwar eigentlich für den AXIS OfficeBasic, funktioniert aber z.B.
auch mit dem AXIS 5600 und evtl. auch mit AXIS 560/100. IIRC muß
jedenfalls Firmware 6.0 oder höher installiert sein.
