Fehlermeldung 1609 und 1603 beim Aufspielen der Headset-Software

Hallo,

ich habe mir ein Headset von Plantronics und den dazu
gehörigen Adapter DA60 gekauft, mit dem man das Headset
direkt an einen USB-Anschluß anschliessen kann.

Als ich jedoch die dazugehörige Software PerSono Pro 2.0
einspielen wollte kam die Windows 2000 - Fehlermeldung:

"Error 1609. An error occured while applying security
settings. Users is not a valid user or group. This could
be a problem with the package, or a problem connecting to
a domain controller on the network. Check your network
connection an click Retry, or Cancel to end the install."

Nach Anklicken von OK kam gleich die nächste Fehlermeldung:

"Error: -1603 Fatal error during installation. Consult
Windows Installer Help (Msi.chm) or MSDN for more
information."

Nach erneutem OK kehrt man zurück zum
Installationsassisten, den man dann nur noch schließen
kann, ohne die Installation abgeschlossen zu haben.

Die Microsoft-Hotline hat im Internet auf der Microsoft-
Knowledge-Base schon nach den Suchbegriffen "Windows 2000"
und "1609" bzw. "1603" gesucht, ist aber nicht fündig
geworden. Sonst hätten die mir schon einen Hot...(dings)
geschickt, welches das Problem gelöst hätte. Daher war die
nächste Idee, daß ich mein Problem in diese Newsgroup
einstelle.

Kann mir bitte jemand helfen??????
