Das kannst du mit der Kombination Ghostscript und GSView hinbekommen.
Einfach mal nach Ghostscript, gsview suchen...

Was ich schon erstaunlich finde, die Grössen zwischen einem PDF von
FreePDF XP und dem was OpenOffice erzeugt.

Ich habe eine Datei mit einem Bild. Wenn ich von Word aus über FreePDF
XP ein PDF erzeuge, ist die Datei etwa 1,4 MB gross. Erzeuge ich die PDF
über OpenOffice, ist sie nur noch 180 KB gross.

Das ist schon erstaunlich und fast unerklärlich, denn die Qulität von
beiden unterscheidet sich beim Blick drauf, so gut wie nicht.
