Entweder das, oder ihn zumindest auf das Risiko des Hardwareausfalls seiner Backupgeräte aufmerksam zu machen. Welche Konsequenzen (zweites Laufwerk o.ä.) das dann hat, muß halt in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Kunden festgelegt werden.
