BackUp Exec? Ist mir wohlbekannt. Auf den Servern, von denen wir hier
sprechen läuft eine Version 7.5 und das superstabil, hat mich noch nie im
Stich gelassen. Auf einem anderen Fileserver läuft eine Version - ich
glaube - 9.x auf W2K Server und das Ding macht ewig irgendwelche Mucken. Da
stehen z.B. Jobs über 100 Stunden drin, und lasen sich nichtmal abbrechen.
Eine ServicePackinstallation schlägt mit Fehlermelung fehl usw.

Der Support bei Vertitas kostet pro Call 95.- EUR (!) und muss mit
Creditkarte bezahlt werden. Woher soll ich als Admin eine Kreditkarte
nehmen, ohne das ich es aus meiner Tasche bezahlen soll und dann in die
Buchhaltung dackeln muss usw. Per Rechnungen gehen nur 5 Calls für knappe
500.- EUR -> das alles ist nicht sehr kundenfreundlich aber wir werden OT
;-) Aber auf der Suche nach einer Alternative zu Veritas bin ich schon (nur
so aus Prinzip) -> wenn einer was wüsste wäre es nett, es mir mitzuteilen.
