Was den IE angeht: Schau doch bitte in den Internetoptionen und dort
unter "Allgemein | Sprachen" nach, welche dort eingtragen sind und
welche an erster Stelle steht.

Deutsch (Deutschland) [de] ...mehr nicht.

Welche "Add-Ins" (Erweiterungen) sind für den IE installiert? Dazu im
IE via "Extras" die Option "Add-Ins verwalten" aufrufen.

Welche Programme laufen permanent im Hintergrund?

Btw, zum Stand der Dinge: Ich hatte einen Test-Benutzer installiert. Nach Einloggen ist bei dem alles ok, nur nicht mit meinem Account. Bsp-URLs, die Probleme machen, z.B. http://update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate/v6/default.aspx?ln=de
