Hallo Ottmar,
Unter W2k (voll durchgepatched) ist dieser Wert nicht vorhanden, ist also
erst mit XP eingeführt und offenbar nicht mal dokumentiert.
Ab MS mit diesem Wert noch weitere Funktionen innerhalb und Ausserhalb von
Outlook verbunden hat kann ich natürlich nicht mit Sicherheit sagen. Ich
denke mal, jeder sollte den Wert auf eigenes Risiko ändern.
Im ürigen hatte ich mich nicht so ganz mit der Aussage zufreiden gegeben,
daß man das unter XPP so hnnehmen müsse. Ich bin zwar kein Programmierer,
kann aber auch so logisch denken, und habe eine gewisse Vorstellung von dem
was ich mache.
Es gab eigentlich nur 2 Möglichkeiten.

1. Hart in die EXE bzw. DLL(s) programmiert
Die entsprechende EXE/DLL hätte man versuchsweise (nach Sicherung) mit einer
Version von W2K ersetzen können, da die W2K Versionen zumindest theoretisch
auch unter XP laufen müssten

2. "Weich" über die Registry ausgeschaltet
Hier muss man den "verantwortlichen" Wert rausfinden - wenn's ganz doof
läuft, findet man den nie, weil der irgendwo versteckt ist, wo man ihn gar
nicht vermutet.

Ooops, "Safe Attachments" heißt der Wert, der mit der genannten Option
assoziert ist und nicht Lothars "Safe Secure Attachments". Pardon!
Allerdings findet sich seltsamerweise in den Weiten "des Internets" kein
einziger Hinweis, *was* dieser Wert bewirkt. Insofern birgt das Setzen
des Inhalts auf "0" ein gewisses Risiko für anschließendes Fehlverhalten
aller Art (HKCU\Identities\{GUID}\Software\Microsoft\Outlook Express\5.0\
Mail).
