Nö. Wenn Du webmail.deinedomain.tld erreichbar machen willst, muss das
auch
im für deinedomain.tld zuständigen DNS Server eingetragen werden. Das kann
über einen Hosteintrag (A Record) webmail.deinedomain.tld oder durch einen
Wildcard (*) Eintrag erfolgen. Wie genau das geht, musst Du deinen Hoster
fragen, da da jeder ein anderes Interface (wenn überhaupt) hat.
Bei meinem Hoster gibt es dafür ein Webinterface. Habe ich nun eingetragen
(A,*,webmail.domain1.ch)

Auf dem IIS musst Du dann die Website einrichten. Das Basisverzeichnis
zeigt
dann auf den Ordner, in dem dein Mailprogramm das Webmailinterface
abgelegt
hat. In der IIS Website musst Du dann die Hostheader anlegen, also bspw.
webmail.domain1.tld, webmail.domain2.tld, ... wenn Du nicht eine separate
IP Adresse für diese Website verwendest.
Ja, das ist nun klar.
Das Problem ist, dass Mailenable mich irritiert hat. Hatte dies
eingerichtet, postoffice usw. konfiguriert, und das webmail.domain.ch hat
auf anhieb ausserhalb funktioniert.
Ich habe dann nachgeschaut, im Hosteader stand webmail.localhost. Aber
plötzlich hat das webmail nicht mehr funktioniert. Egal, habe jetzt so viele
Stunden gesucht. Deine Lösung wird nun sicher funktionieren.

Nun, ich warte mal bis die DNS-Info verteilt ist, und dann werde ich testen.
