Hallo,

als ich neulich bei einem Kunden versucht habe, das Exchange 2003 Service
Pack 1 auf einem deutschen Exchange 2003 Frontend Server zu installieren,
wurde mir die Installation mit folgender Fehlermeldung verweigert:
"Vor dem Installieren von Microsoft Exchange Server Service Pack muss
Exchange Server 2003 auf diesem Computer installiert sein."
Selbstverstaendlich ist der deutsche Exchange Server 2003 installiert, auch
das notwendige Hotfix fuer die Service Pack Installation ist schon drauf. Das
Studium des Installationslogs hat zumindest etwas Licht ins Dunkel gebracht,
als dass offensichtlich ein "Versionskonflikt" vorliegt. Da die Infrastruktur
vor einem Jahr von Exchange 5.5 auf 2003 migriert wurde, koennte es sein,
dass in der Registry und/oder im Active Directory noch alte Versionseintraege
zurueckgeblieben sind. Hat jemand aehnliche Erfahrungen gemacht, bzw. weiss
jemand Rat, wie ich dieses Problem loesen koennte? Im Anschluss habe ich das
Logfile dieses Installationsversuchs angehaengt...
