Hallo Albert,

MSSQL ist ein muß, Advantage Database Server ist auch ein muß da wir viele
Bestandskunden haben die den ADS extra gekauft haben, Oracle und MySQL nicht
zwingend aber wär halt schön wenn es drin wäre zumal das Projekt neu
aufgesetzt wird.
Hibernate scheint eine interessante Sache zu sein, wegen der fehlenden ADS
Server Unterstützung wäre da aber schon ein Problem.

man da am besten vor?

Man nimmt was fertiges z.B. einen OR Mapper wie NHibernate
(http://www.hibernate.org/343.html) und verzichtet auf SQL Statements,
Stored Procedure und DataSets.

Weniger probleme, nur ein wenig Einarbeitung, erforderlich.
