Mails über Mapi versenden. Wie?

Hallo zusammen,
ich hab schon etliche Foren und auch die MSDN durchgeforstet aber ich
finde keine Erklärung über den Mailversand über Mapi, nur SMTP.
Ich möchte den Usern meiner Anwendung die Möglichkeit bieten über Mapi
zu senden, sodass der installierte Standard-MailClient die Mails
versendet oder halt über die Eingabe der Mail-Kontodaten dann per
SMTP.
Hat jemand eine Ahnung wie das per Mapi geht?
