Hallo, da steht Windows 2003 und Windows XP, bin aber Win 2000 Nutzer,
geht das mit der DPAPI damit auch, oder was kann ich shonst machen?

ja, DPAPI wurde als erstes unter Windows 2000 zur Verfügung gestellt.
Ist aber dort nicht wirklich gut dokumentiert gewesen. Das ging erst
bei XP los.
Glücklicherweise gibt es auch einen managed Wrapper von Microsoft's
Pattern&Practices-Gruppe:
