ASP oder PHP

Hallo,

ich bin was die Internetprogrammierung angeht etwas unerfahren.
Ich will für ein Programmsystem eine Internetseite bauen, welche
Veranstaltungsergebnisse anzeigt und interaktiv Anmeldungen zu diesen
Veranstaltungen zuläßt.
Hier schwanke ich im Moment noch zwischen PHP und ASP.
Kann mir wer einige Vorteile von ASP gegenüber PHP nennen?
Wie es aussieht ist bei meinem Provider (1&1) ASP nur gegen Aufpreis
möglich.
Hat wer einen Tip für einen preiswerten Provider, der ASP unterstützt.
Ich programmiere mit Delphi und fange jezt mit C# an.
Erfahrugen habe ich bisher weder mit PHP nach mit ASP.
