Not sure if this is the right newgroup but:

I have recently bought a laptop with 1.9ghz Dual Core processor and ATI
Radeon X1200 graphics card.

How likely is it I could run a '3d intensive' game on this laptop?

e.g. Enemy Territory requires a 2.8ghz processor and ATI gfx. Will a dual
core 1.9 processor still be able to run this?

Processor is not your problem. Dual core is very powerfull and runing game such Enemy Teritory isn't a problem. Your problem instead is compatibility with you grapgics card and operating system. For example if you have XP installed, game should run with no problems. Having vista might be cose of many problems. If you have Vista instaled make shoure you have all newest drivers for yours hardware and SP1.
