Hi everybody,

on 12.March.2008 I remembered the sweet days of old games especially Arcade
Games in 1996 by Acclaim, so I searched for them and downlaoded a packet of
them ,which was a file named: (Super Nintendo 800 Games + Emulator.daa,
which is the form of a virtual CD) by Betcomit.

Once I launched this virtual CD, I found an excutive file in it named:
(zsnesw) and lauched it...but unfortunately, a black screen showed up with a
message error in background saying:

IDirectDraw7:SetDisplayMode failed.

Make sure your video card supports this mode.

So I thought, the problem could be solved by the Windows XP integrated
Program-Compatability Assistant...but I tried and tried but..........
failed...!!!

So, any kind of help would be appreciated, and I even would be glad to get
help by any Desktop Remote-Assistance program like MSN Windows Messanger.

Yeah, just so you know, Emulation CDs like this are pretty much Illegal unless you own the cartridge (working), and even though most game companies would prefer you not use emulators to play their games.

Now that I have that disclaimer out of the way.

go to http://www.microsoft.com/directx, choose to download the latest DirectX (should get a file called DXWebSetup.EXE

Run that, follow the prompts, and try the game again.

Again, you're breaking the law, so get yer *** on eBay or Craigslist and buy the actual carts.

Another alternative would be to download a new SNES emulator from the intarwebs, one that's more up to date and maybe uses DirectX 9 instead of 7. Either way updating your DirectX files should be done to avoid future issues.
