first time user be gentle and patient
i've just bought a pre-owned aoe3 from ebay and when i try installing it
disk 1 it loads very slowly and keeps comming up with the message >error
1305.error reading from c:\programe files\microsoft games\age of empires
3\art\art3.bar. with the message verify that the file exists and then you can
access it.
when the install bar is full nothing happens and when you cancel it comes up
with error 1603.
my pc is very capable for this game and i have tryed it on my other pc with
the same problem appearing. ebay you must think iam mad

If you can test that CD on another computer or drive you could check
it is not defective, otherwise check that KB article:
