Flightsim X activation problem

When ever I start up Flightsim x I get the activation screen.I think it's
caused by me having to unplug my joystick whenever I use my MS FF Wheel for
driving games.When I plug the joystick back into the usb port I believe
flightsim sees that as an upgraded hardware device and asks for an
activation.If I leave both devices plugged in at the same time one
interferes with the other.Is there anything I can do to correct this issue?
I have xp pro with sp2 and all updated drivers.

I cant keep calling for a new key everytime I want to fly for longer than 30
minutes...
