Hi westkiwi,

This behavior occurs because you must have Microsoft XML 4.0
installed to run these games. Here's how to reinstall it:

Press and hold SHIFT while you insert the game disc
In the root folder of the CD-ROM, double-click the MSXML folder,
and then double-click the Msxmlenu.msi file.

To complete the installation process, follow the instructions that appear
on your screen. Hope that helps, and best of luck to you in the games! :-)
